Chief Minister and Home Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha expressed his concern over the increasing number of road accidents in the state. He gave a message to the vehicle drivers to be more careful in dealing with accidents. He appealed to the vehicle drivers to follow the traffic rules to prevent these untoward incidents.
The Chief Minister gave this warning while formally inaugurating the newly constructed terminal building at Nagerjla Bus Stand in the capital Agartala on Tuesday afternoon. Besides this, he announced to name this newly constructed terminal building after Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee.
Inaugurating the program, the Chief Minister said that the government is working to provide better services to the people by building modern infrastructure. And in that direction, advanced infrastructure and modern buildings are being built in the state. Tripura has come a long way in terms of infrastructural development.Through the implementation of all these programs, employment opportunities will also be created along with providing better services to the citizens. Nagerjala bus stand was once a fallen water body and unusable place. This bus stand is a time of panic. The previous government always created a problem between the workers and the owners. And in the middle, the leaders of the ruling party would turn into banana trees with their fingers swollen. Due to the constructive approach of the present government, these places are now being utilized for the welfare of the people. Long distance passengers will benefit from the inauguration of this new terminal building.
In the event, the Chief Minister also said that this government wants to stand by the people through work. The state government is implementing development programs under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Programs such as Good Governance Abhiyan per House have been launched to bring access to public welfare projects and services to the poorest of the poor in the society. The people of the state have confidence in this government. Which is constantly reflected by expressing opinions of people. The Chief Minister also emphasized on maintaining peace and order in this terminal area.
Chief Minister Dr. Saha said on the occasion that people are trusting the Prime Minister. He guarantees to complete the work on time. The present government of the state is also working in that direction for the overall welfare of the people. The state government has already launched a web portal called ‘Amar Sarkar’. In this portal people can inform about various problems in their area. That problem will be solved very soon.
Chief Minister praised Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee on the occasion. He said, everyone knows what Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee has done for the country. He fought for the abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. And the current Prime Minister Narendra Modi has abolished Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. Therefore, to strengthen the prime minister’s hand, the Bharatiya Janata Party candidates must win more votes than the previous elections in the two centers of the state in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Transport Minister Sushant Chowdhury, Agartala Pur Nigam Mayor Deepak Majumder, Pur Nigam Corporator Abhijit Mallick, TRTC Chairman Balai Goswami and other guests were present as distinguished guests in the inauguration ceremony of the new terminal building. It should be noted that about 16 crore 88 lakh rupees have been spent on the construction of this new terminal building.
